The Ministry of Human Resource Department (MHRD) approved the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). It was launched on 29<\/span>th<\/span> September 2015 by the Honourable Minister of MHRD. In 2023, the number one ranked engineering college was Indian Institute of Madras with a score of 89.79 while 150<\/span>th<\/span> rank was awarded to VELS Institute of Science Technology & Advanced Studies (Vistas), Chennai. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    NIRF assessed medical colleges and institutions providing courses in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health sciences. In 2023, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS) Delhi, ranked number 1 with a score of 94.32. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The framework included numerous management institutes offering MBA and other business-related programs. The assessment criteria for these institutes focused on academic rigor, industry interface, placement records, and entrepreneurial activities. In 2023, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad was awarded first rank with a score of 83.20 while the last\u00a0 125<\/span>th<\/span> rank was awarded to the Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship, Bengaluru. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Pharmacy Colleges, Law Colleges, and Others<\/span><\/b><\/h4>\n

    Apart from the major categories mentioned above, NIRF also evaluated institutions specializing in pharmacy, law, architecture, and other specialized fields. These colleges and institutes were assessed based on their specific parameters relevant to their respective disciplines.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
